Israeli regime's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has opposed the Russian-US deal on the ceasefire in southern Syria.
Speaking at a press conference following the meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron in Paris on Sunday Netanyahu said that Tel Aviv totally opposes the truce agreement in southern Syria, which he alleged consolidates Iran's presence in the Arab country.
Netanyahu's stances are bound to ignite a major disagreement between Tel Aviv and the two great powers.
During the July 7 meeting, Russian President Vladimir Putin and his US counterpart Donald Trump agreed to implement a regional ceasefire in southern Syria.
The Israeli regime regularly attacks Syrian positions held by the Syrian army in the Golan Heights, claiming the attacks as retaliatory.
The Syrian government says the incursions in the southern part of the country aim to help Takfiri terrorists fighting against government forces.
On several occasions, the Syrian army has confiscated Israeli-made arms and military equipment from terrorists fighting government forces. There are also reports that Israel has been providing medical treatment to the extremists wounded in Syria.
Last month, the United Nations UN voiced concern over increased contacts between Israeli regime troops and terrorists from Syria in recent months.
In a report released on 8th June, UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres warned that the growing Israeli regime troops and the terrorists, whom he termed as unidentified individuals, could lead to escalation and clashes in the region.
The report by the UN confirms previous independent reports to the effect that the Israeli regime has been assisting terrorists fighting to oust the legitimate Syrian government.
